As a survivor of the Second Sudanese Civil War, former child soldier, and refugee, Dr. Diing has transformed unimaginable adversity into a powerful force for global change.
Today, Dr. Diing stands as an accomplished educator, humanitarian advocate, and inspirational leader. As founder and CEO of the Aid and Care/DRD Foundation, Dr. Diing channels his personal journey into meaningful action, supporting society’s most vulnerable members—abandoned children, neglected women, and elderly individuals—across Sudan, South Sudan, and East Africa. His foundation’s work embodies his deeply held belief that “Don’t trash babies; they are human beings. Don’t torture orphans; they are angels of God. Don’t neglect women and older adults; they are vital to our society.”
Dr. Diing’s voice reaches far beyond the classroom through his two powerful books: “Ten Laws of Survival: The Savior of My Life” and “God Left Us Behind Fatal FAITH.” As a sought-after motivational speaker, he shares his extraordinary journey from walking barefoot across three countries to becoming a beacon of hope and change. His research in education, public health, and cultural studies continues to shape innovative approaches to supporting marginalized communities.
Now based in Alaska with his family of six children and nine adopted children living in Kenya, Dr. Diing’s life work proves that our darkest moments can fuel our greatest contributions to humanity.
